Characteristics
A mere 7.5 miles northeast of Lüneburg, this park-like course is embedded in relatively level terrain. The course and the old manor are bordered by the marshy land of the river Elbe with its meadows and flood ditches on one side and by the wooded geest area on the other side. The course features numerous water hazards, greens with difficult approaches, and narrowing holes.

With “Germany's fastest course license”, the golf instructors at Schloss Lüdersburg get beginners on the golf course in just three days. In 14 hours of training, they learn everything they need to get started in golf: Swing, long and short game and putting. The theoretical and practical exams and a starter kit are also included. The courses start on Fridays from March to November.

We played the lake course under best weather conditions. Unfortunately the course was in somehow poor conditions. It leaves you with the impression of medioca maintenance. The club restaurant offers some braii- barbecue which followed by quality the impression of the course. It was really bad food.
Only the the service was nice. THX Guys. We will not come back.

The Lakes Course is a gem!?

Played on 17.07.26.80% of the teeing grounds were in really good condition, freshly mowed and level.
The fairways were also mowed perfectly and, despite the drought, beautifully green!
You should be able to play a bit there, as it's partly narrow and surrounded by water.
Bunkers with clean edges and sand inside... you don't always find that...
The greens... mostly in good condition. A bit bumpy here and there, but all in all, it's worth playing a round on the Lake Course again.
Oh yes, and not to forget... anyone who loves animals will love it there! So many birds, wild animals and other creatures, wonderful :)
If the Old Course also goes in this direction after the renovation, it will once again be a great golf location, and the clubhouse is no exception.

We played the Lakes Course at the end of June 2026. Only 9 holes of the Old Course were open, as the rest were currently being renovated.
On the Lakes Course, the teeing areas have been undermined by moles for many years, leaving hardly any level ground. The fairways are mowed to a minimum width of 10-20 meters. Beyond that lies a wide strip of semi-rough before the hard rough begins. Some of the greens have strange furrows. Overall, the course and the practice facilities appear somewhat overgrown. However, there is plenty of wildlife in the form of moles, coypus, and geese – along with their droppings. Management seems unable to break out of this downward spiral.
Currently, a group price of 75.00 EUR is charged from Monday to Thursday - with Golfamore there is a 50% discount.
Those willing to overlook the less-than-ideal condition of the course can at least enjoy a relaxing round of golf there. Currently, very few golfers make their way to Lüdersburg.
