Characteristics
Hoisdorf Golf Club, which belongs to the Hamburg Golf Association, is nestled in the gently undulating terminal moraine landscape of Schleswig-Holstein. The course is characterised by tranquillity, old trees and a typical landscape that turns every round into a natural experience.
For almost 50 years, the club has offered golfers a home with sporting standards and a lively community. The 18 holes are varied and offer challenges for all levels of play. 18 new greens and a newly designed practice facility ensure modern playing and training enjoyment. As a participant in the GolfBiodivers programme, the club is actively involved in the protection and promotion of biodiversity.
Club life is characterised by a friendly, informal atmosphere. After the round, people like to meet up in the clubhouse, at events and tournaments that promote active socialising.
The club welcomes members of all ages and offers contemporary conditions for different target groups.

A very well-maintained course, where it's clear someone takes care of it. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms on the course. That's something that could be improved. The green fee is reasonable. Some of the holes are quite long and hold a few surprises. When you reach the first bend of the dogleg on the 15th hole and can see "around the corner," it becomes clear that this is a real rarity for Northern Germany and, with the elevation changes, quite challenging. A course you can play again and again without getting bored. We'll have to see what the new restaurant brings from April 1st, 2026.

Thank you for the information regarding the restrooms: They are located behind the caddy house between holes 1 and 10. We appreciate your feedback and will review whether we can improve the signage in the future.
Regarding our dining options, we are pleased to announce that our new restaurant, "Lieblingsplatz" (Favorite Spot), will open at the beginning of May. We are very much looking forward to it and are excited about this new culinary addition to our club.

We played the course over the weekend and were truly delighted! After a warm welcome and registration at the clubhouse, we headed to the range – the only negative point – which could use an upgrade, even though the talking ball machine with its convenient card payment option looks modern. The very hard surface and the teeing mats, which are clearly showing signs of wear, aren't ideal for warming up before a round.
However, when they finally got started, the course was excellent both in terms of layout and condition. The very hilly landscape, which we hadn't expected so far north, provided a truly demanding but also exciting challenge at times. The back 9 is particularly recommended; holes 14 and 15 in particular are a real challenge, and the moment when you suddenly find yourself in front of the wall on hole 15 is truly impressive!
The restaurant also impressed with very friendly staff.
Despite the range, the otherwise truly fabulous experience earns it 5 stars. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the course!

For a relaxed round, an electric cart isn't a bad idea. The terrain is very hilly and varied, with several doglegs.
You can play in absolute peace and quiet in nature on a very well-maintained parkland course.
The greens are fast and true to the course; it's often better to leave the ball shorter, as many of the greens slope downwards. Precision is more important than length on some holes, and players of all skill levels can enjoy themselves here.
Kudos to the board for allowing the use of Golfamore, SH-Card, and Köllen Golf here. We'll be playing several times this season. I remembered the food being better, but it's okay.
There are top courses around Hamburg such as Walddörfer, Ahrensburg and Breitenburg, but if you are in the area, you should definitely play Hoisdorf too.
