Characteristics
Because of the huge sheet of water with less than 1 m in depth this golf course has characteristics, which otherwise can't be found in Italy. Actually it reminds more of the south of the USA. Because of this there are at many holes water hazards, which are by no means little ponds, rather wide sheets of water, which can have an unexpected influence on the game.

Nice and challenging golf course

We (hcp 6.1 and 19.4) played Versalia today and found the course challenging and fun to play. Lots of blind holes and water.
We will come back again.

Disappointing quality/price ratio

Perhaps it's the dazzling photos on the website that have created greater expectations, but I don't find the €120 Green Fee price appropriate for such a poorly maintained place, even in Forte dei Marmi.
A triumphant entrance and an excellent clubhouse give us hope until we arrive on the course where we find ourselves seeing people darting from one side of the course to the other, others starting at the same tee time but what is even more serious and what disappointed me the most is the state of the courses which seem to have been left a bit to themselves.
Bunkers that aren't bunkers but just forgotten, barren earth, greens that look like Gruyere cheese and fairways that are as dry as if they haven't been watered in a long time.
The only well-kept areas are those adjacent to the clubhouse.
I can't say I'm satisfied and if I had known the condition of the same beforehand I certainly wouldn't have paid almost 300 euros for two entrances and cart.
We will definitely not be returning.

We remembered this place as being very well maintained.
Totally unkempt facility, the cart (40€ for 9 holes) was dirty with cigarette butts in it instead of a cooler and water.
At 190€ for 2 people, 9 holes, the expectations were different.
