We were here this June. The course is in terrible condition. All the fairways are full of holes, and the connections between the greens and the next tees are only passable with a golf cart if you exercise extreme caution. Apart from the tees and greens, there's nothing green at all! Overall, I'd describe the course as ruined. The second star is only for the beautiful location and the stunning view. As of June, I can't understand why the previous reviewer gave it such a good rating.

We played golf with our pro in Riva Toscana during Easter week. The course has an appealing layout, varied holes, is beautifully nestled among olive trees, and offers stunning views of the sea and the island of Elba from almost everywhere. Due to the poor reviews, I arrived with mixed feelings but was pleasantly surprised: The course has now reached a good standard, the fairways are consistently green and allow the ball to roll far. The greens are perfect: super fast and absolutely true. It was really fun. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the practice greens and other practice facilities are also in good condition.

Every year I return for my winter holidays to this fantastic resort.
The course is finally ready! Completely grassy fairways, bunkers with beautiful local sand, fast and perfect greens, and an unparalleled layout and view.
As always, the staff's hospitality is excellent, and the restaurant offers new dishes every year. The resort is also recommended as a base for playing the other beautiful courses in Maremma, as it's the northernmost and closest to the highway.
