Great golf course - hotel showing its age

Stay from June 1st to June 9th, 2024 Unfortunately, the hotel is not directly on the sea or golf course, so the car had to be used for both. The booked room, in the almost empty hotel, did not match the photos of the room category.
Communication in the restaurant was difficult because none of the waiters spoke German or English. Wines that were offered on the wine list were not available. Due to the low occupancy of the hotel, both the breakfast buffet and the menu in the restaurant were very limited. On our last evening, in addition to the normal menu, a dinner buffet was offered for €40.00 to €60.00. Despite our wish to eat a la carte, the buffet was practically forced on us and we were also charged for it - which was corrected after we complained. The golf course was very, very beautiful, with great views of the sea. Ambitious to walk, but highly recommended.

The hotel needs renovation in many areas. The pool does not match the price level, the tiles are partially stained, it is unclear whether it is dirt or other deposits. But since the adjacent terrace has obviously not even been cleaned a few days after the opening in spring, I assume that the pool has not been treated very differently. There are display cases in the hall with dusty boxes of cosmetic products in them. It does not look so clean that I would have gone to the spa area if it had been open. Advertising is different. The fitness room is a storage room for outdated fitness equipment. It was cleaned at my request.
The information that I could scan a QR code containing important information was something I got by chance, not when checking in. I also found out later from other hotel guests that if I wanted to play golf in addition to what I had planned, I would get a discount if I registered through the hotel. No such information was given.
On the first day, I arrived for breakfast shortly before 10:00 a.m. From the information on the QR code, I later found out that breakfast was served until 10:30 a.m., but most of the tables had been cleared away by ten. A member of staff made this clear to me by initially ignoring my cappuccino order. I simply ordered again with an expression on my face which made it clear that I was now getting a cappuccino. I was then able to drink it after breakfast. There are a lot of staff in the restaurant area, almost as many as guests. Perhaps you need so many because not everyone speaks a language other than Italian. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not offer small dishes in the evening as is common in Italy; you can't just eat a salad. That's a shame, but I've experienced it in other hotels on my four-week trip too.
The hotel needs a thorough renovation and there is a lot of work to be done in terms of quality management.
