Perched high on the edge of the Peak District, New Mills Golf Club offers a scenic and strategic golfing experience established in 1907. The course commands breathtaking panoramic views over the Cheshire Plain and towards the famous Kinder Scout. While not overly long at just over 5,600 yards (Par 69), the layout defends itself with natural hazards, dry stone walls, and undulating terrain that requires precise iron play. Golfers face memorable challenges, such as the daunting 12th hole played blindly over a quarry face and the tricky drive over “Tommy's Grave” on the 17th. The atmosphere is notably welcoming, featuring a dog-friendly clubhouse and a modern indoor simulator room that contrasts with the historic, rugged landscape.
