While the terrain is relatively flat, making for a pleasant walk, the course presents a genuine challenge that demands accuracy over power. Golfers are treated to spectacular panoramic views of the Manchester skyline, particularly from the first tee. The layout features several memorable tests, including the signature 'Gulley' at the 12th and the formidable 15th, known as 'Gamble,' which stands as one of the longest Par 3s in the county. The round concludes with a testing uphill Par 5 towards the historic 1892 clubhouse, where the balcony awaits for post-round relaxation.
