18 holes through the pine forest

Played on 2/8/2021. The 18-hole course, which is flat except for a small hill, is located a little south / east of Eindhoven directly on the A2 motorway. You need a sat nav, as there are no signs to the club. The access is via a side road past a rest area. It is approx. 50km from the German border. If it weren't for the autobahn, which you can hear clearly from lanes 1 and 9, the facility is completely fenced in in a quiet pine forest. Every now and then you can hear a few shots of the hunters in the adjacent forest. It is mostly a parkland course, but there are also a few open lanes and a few water hazards. From the yellow tees you often have to have a certain basic length in order to reach the fairway. Higher HC should choose the front tees. A first cut is missing, but there is relatively little high rough, so that you can easily find warped balls under the trees. Although most of the lanes are relatively straight, the lanes are varied. From some tees you have very nice views of the track in front of you. Some bunkers or trees on the fairways add to the challenge. The maintenance condition, especially that of the fairways (like carpets and almost no foreign growth), was great. The greens undulating slightly but always faithful. Slight smears only for one or the other bunker edge or bald spots around the tees. A nice challenge is certainly the 18 (PAR 4), where long hitters can attack the green directly over a lake. Everyone else plays on the raised green around the lake. A cart is basically not necessary, although there are one or the other longer route between the tees, e.g. between the 7 and the 8 or between the 11 and 12 and the 14 and 15 charge. One should pay close attention to the small signposts / posts so that one does not end up on the wrong tee, which can easily happen if one is not careful. But at each tee there is also a board with a visualized course. There is also a driving range where you can use euro pieces to pull balls from the machine. The range is not very attractive and also a bit short. You can see that in the balls that end up on the fairway of hole 11. The clubhouse / restaurant has been appropriately modernized. The appropriate green fee, which is staggered according to the seasons (high season € 60), is paid in the restaurant at a counter with the friendly waitress. I had requested a start time by email and received an answer within two days with the time I wanted. If you want to play at short notice, you'd better call. The game operation on a Monday afternoon was manageable. It wasn't until lane 18 that I ran into a three-way flight as a single player. Most of the members greet them kindly. Those who love parkland will definitely get their money's worth here and it's not far to Eindhoven.
