The Golfpark Greifswald-Wackerow is situated on the outskirts of the university and hanseatic city Greifswald. The renowned golf park architect Christoph Städler designed the 27-hole course. Since early summer 2006 9 of the holes are playable. A hotel with clubhouse and restaurant is also in the planning stage.

Played on September 3rd, 2023. The 9-hole course (PAR35) is located just north of the Hanseatic city of Greifswald on the mainland near the Baltic Sea between the islands of Rügen and Usedom. From the A20 you can reach the small golf club via the federal highways 109 and 105. You can also hear and see car traffic on the B105 on some routes. The “clubhouse” consists more of a hut and the toilets are housed in a container. So you shouldn't expect too much luxury, but the people who organize the games are all the friendlier. Despite the ongoing club championship, I was able to go spontaneously as a guest in the afternoon after the last flight. The green fee, which can be paid with an EC card, currently costs €35 for 9 holes and €45 for 18 holes, whether on weekdays or weekends. The price is okay, but there is only one tee option for men and women, which doesn't add any variety to an 18-hole round. The course is flat and the lanes are relatively varied, but without any major highlights. There are 3x PAR3,2x PAR5 and 4x PAR4 with a total length for men of 2,613m. There are also two doglegs, a water hazard here and there, few bunkers but some high rough. Strategic play can't hurt, even if most of the tees are quite open except for hole 2. Lanes 2 and 4 are separated by what appears to be a public walking/biking path. Tees from the 2 that are distorted to the left can be dangerous for passers-by. In order to get to the 9 tee after the 8, you have to cross the middle of the 7 hole, which is also where you need to be careful. The overall condition of care was rather average. Some of the tees were very worn and dry, some of the greens had brown spots but were playable. There is a driving range (balls with euro coins from the machine) and practice opportunities. There are no start times. The homepage could be a little more up to date. All in all a small club, probably with limited resources but very friendly. Certainly not a MUST, anyone who is nearby should get an impression for themselves.
