Characteristics
The scenically traditional course with rich contours is situated at an altitude of 270 m, at the northern edge of the Sauerland region. The 18-hole course offers varied, demanding but fair holes and magnificent views on the Haarstrang and the lake Möhnesee. Furthermore the hilly, very idyllic terrain impressed with its combination of woods and water and offers a cosy clubhouse with a sun terrace.

I chose this course on the basis of its description but I was disappointed by the lack of attention in comparison to the others in the area. There are no markers along the fairway, there are no next tee signs. The signs which show the layout of the hole are placed in such a way, that once standing on the tee, you are looking at the advertisement on the back. I also found the layout of the course somewhat crummy. By the way: do not expect to see the Möhnesee from the course. Further: this may have been an incident but while I was playing around noon, there were constantly a number of very noisy mowers and blowers on the fairways, spoiling my pleasure for at least 14 of the 18 holes. I would say that work like that should have been done in the early hours. I will not come back.

Played on a Monday, so registration and restaurant closed.
The office was very friendly and, as agreed beforehand, had four club balls ready so we could start whenever we wanted since there was nothing going on.
Spoke to some club members who told us that after a few bad times everything is now good and they are trying hard.
The course was very well-maintained and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Since we wanted to practice on the short course beforehand, the only downside was that they should also take care of it. It was very unkempt and completely unusable. Overall, we would come back. Beautiful courses in complete peace and quiet.
