Characteristics
This golf course is situated in the former tidal flats landscape, partly below sea level. Tideways and natural water hazards distinguish this golf course, which is indeed flat but in its way not all that easy to play. Beach chairs at the tees make waiting easier and offer shelter from sun and wind. Next to the golf course, about 500 m away, the bathing beach Warwerort invites you to bath and to relax.

Golf in the marshland of the North Sea

Hi - first of all, the site has 4 electrical hookups on the meadow.
For €25 a night, you can get a good pitch with electricity and an access code to the clubhouse/shower/toilet. Next to our T5 was a German-Belgian with a campervan who wasn't even playing golf. Very idyllic with sheep and peaceful bleating.
It's about 8 km to Büsum by bicycle along the dike. Büsum has a lovely promenade.
The course is in the marshes with water, flat, hardly any trees. My signature hole was the 14th. You walk past it first, thinking it's the 1st, and then get a shock. You have to drive diagonally over the 30-meter-wide canal. Be careful on the yellow tees at the 4th hole; there's a lot of vegetation behind me, and after the tee shot, the hole seemed further away ;-). There are two yellow tees, 4th and 8th – you have to go back over the vegetation. The restaurant is okay in the evening. Nice all around.

The course is very well maintained and interesting, with its water hazards and bunkers. The scenery is almost unbeatable, with its natural surroundings, sheep on the dike, and if you're lucky, even wild horses, as well as numerous bird species and hares. Because the land is so flat, the course is not at all strenuous. Interesting and varied, and highly recommended.

We played the course in 08/25 in wonderful weather.
I agree with most of the positive reviews. However, the well-maintained course, with its links-style look, doesn't offer any major challenges, in our opinion. We found the layout rather dull at times. Anyone who enjoys "straightforward" golf or wants to improve their handicap will be in good hands here.
Due to water damage in the clubhouse, the restroom facilities are currently located in containers, which were quite dirty. The men's showers also only had cold water because the hot water heater was broken.
The club staff is extremely friendly and very keen to help guests👍👍.
We didn't use the restaurants and instead ate delicious fish at the harbor in Büsum.

Thank you for your review and the praise for our excellent course maintenance and attentive staff. Indeed, our course is always in exceptionally good condition. The layout of our course is quite unique and challenging due to water, wind, and rough. The rough has just been mowed, offering the opportunity to improve your handicap. However, in the coming weeks, as it grows back, it will become more difficult again.
As you wrote, we unfortunately have water damage, which requires a bit of patience and understanding from us and our guests. Restroom containers naturally quickly become unsightly—we try to avoid that as much as possible. The men's restroom container was temporarily broken and had no hot water. Now it's working again, and we hope to have normal conditions in the clubhouse very soon and to be able to use our well-maintained restroom facilities again.
It's a shame you didn't try our restaurant. We have a great kitchen and serve delicious fish ;-)
