Characteristics
The course offers a sophisticated design because of its specifically placed sandy and water hazards. The 88 bunkers alone, partly typical Irish pott bunkers, are a challenge for all players. Half of the fairways are situated in a forested area and demand a precise game because of forest aisles. The rest of the fairways run over a wavey, undulating terrain. The Golf & Country Club Zur Amtsheide e. V. had found its home on the same course.

Unfortunately, we had to abort. We only ran through 8 holes (a flight of three, which was only playing in pairs at the end, the lady was just looking for balls in the rough, then stopped after 9 holes), then two new flights on the 10th ahead of us, who also made no attempt to let us play through. Apparently, it's only possible with the secretary's approval, and priority is given to flights arriving from the 9th. Upon inquiry, we were told we were too fast for the system. They said they could also talk to the other flights.
Very annoying and a shame. We always enjoyed coming here.

The Golf Club Bad Bevensen e. V. is idyllically located in Secklendorf within a forested area near the Elbe side canal, about 3 km from the spa town of Bad Bevensen.
Not only the beautiful golf course encourages a visit, the attached gastronomy also leaves nothing to be desired. There is something for every taste on the small but fine menu. The quality of the food and the value for money is, in my opinion, beyond criticism (the objective reader will have noticed that I'm thrilled).

We experienced this really beautiful golf course in a very good condition. We were particularly impressed by the greens. The course is beautifully laid out between mature trees which makes the game interesting. We felt very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed in the secretariat. After the game on the terrace we were served very nicely. The Bad Bevensen golf course is worth a visit and we are already planning another day on this really great course.
