Characteristics
The golf course of Verona is charming and fascinating at the same time. It is situated in the middle of the undulating hills around Verona, between the townof Romeo and Julia and the Lake Garda. The course is rather steady and sports broad, wavey fairways. Except for two lakes and several ditches there are no water hazards. However, this course can be very arduous for unpracticed golfers because of great altitude differences.

We (Hcp 2 and 8) played the course for the first time today on October 9th, 2023 in midsummer temperatures. The layout is interesting and varied especially on the back nine. Due to the many elevated greens, the course plays much longer than you would expect.
The greens were quite fast and true, despite some bare spots.
However, the rest was in a catastrophic condition. The fairways were not recognizable as such. Hardly any grass, so even laying it better was difficult. There were a lot of bare spots next to the fairways and greens. The paths were very uneven and rocky.
It's a shame because the system definitely has potential, but unfortunately not recommended in this condition.

We, 3 ambitious players from BW and B, were welcomed in a very friendly and courteous manner at the reception in this traditional ambience as part of our golf trip - we were able to warm up well on the range and the putting green, and then enjoy this fantastic parkland course with all its facets.
Really nice lanes, fast greens that are sometimes difficult to read - and as the icing on the cake a greenkeeper who banged his Ford Fiesta (with a leaky exhaust, maybe - so that you don't overhear him) over the fairway to do his job - it's almost better not - just Italy in its most beautiful form... we would have liked to have eaten in the restaurant - we'll definitely do that next time.
