Planned by the American architect Jim Fazio, the course spreads over the soft moraine hills of the backcountry of the Lake Garda. We have played the course several times (2014 - 2020).
Despite the car construction site, we played the course on October 2nd, 2023.
The preliminary renovation was unsuccessful. The first lanes in particular are too close together. The balls on the greens suddenly drifted to the side. A pity.
Hopefully the place will go back to how it was before the highway construction. Then we'd love to come back.

We played the course two weeks ago. Registered by phone beforehand, then paid the green fee at reception and off we went.
The fairways looked freshly scarified, it wasn't pretty but it was still OK. The greens were medium fast and quite stable.
When we arrived at number 14, our satisfaction was over. A large scarifying machine drove along the fairway and ripped up the ground. This exposed a lot of grass clippings and thatch. Not thinking about playing. And on the 16 the blower was at work to move these remains to the side. So we could only play 17 and 18 with resentment in our stomachs.
Our complaint at reception was met with a shrug of the shoulders, even though the work there was known. An absolute no go, not pointing this out beforehand.
