Characteristics
The golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and despite its central location it seems like an oasis of quietude. Alongside of a vast forested area the 18 holes were arranged individually and variedly. The individual holes are separated from each other by hilly landscapes and therefore for the most part hard to assess. The course is fully watered and drained to guarantee that it is playable and in an ideal condition all the year.

We played yesterday a tournament on gut Larchenhof. Reception was very nice. And during the day everything was organized in to detail. This level of service is hard to find an any golf course. And then the course itself, what a beauty! Super fast greens, the best fairways ever. You really have to place your bal on the right spot of the green. But if you do that then the greens are fair and you can hole a lot of puts. The par 5 can be reached in two for longer hitters, but you have to be straight from the tees as goes for al your thee shots. If you do that you can score, if you don't your lost because the rough is very tough!
Mr. President of Larchenhof, as said earlier, we will be back!

We played the course as guests on September 22,2022 and had a completely different experience than the previous speaker. The gate was opened after 15 seconds and the fact that the guest car park is now 20 meters to the left of the clubhouse didn't bother us much. But the crucial thing is that the place presented itself in great general condition - fairways carpets, greens fast and true. When we ran into a group of men, we were immediately waved through - even more: one of the men ran across the entire fairway after our tee shots to find the drive I had hit into the rough - with success. Great place, friendly reception, excellent gastronomy, top training conditions including range balls... all of this is unparalleled in the region. Only the hustle and bustle around Jack Nicklaus place design is a bit annoying. Of course, the layout is appealing, but if you didn't know it, you wouldn't guess that the master was at work here. Of course, constantly emphasizing it is part of the marketing policy.

Today we were with 2 people (Mr. HCP 14 and 15) on the Lärchenhof golf course as guest players. The entrance gate can only be opened by the reception with a bell function, which we have pressed several times. After waiting around 10 minutes and continuously ringing the bell, another vehicle drove up behind us, the driver of which got out immediately, opened the gate with a chip and reprimanded us in an unfriendly tone with the words: Why are you stopping the members from driving in here? “The next note“ Parking for members only ”makes it clear that guests are not welcome because there are no other parking options. However, the very friendly welcome at the front desk was pleasing. The courses are in perfect top condition. All fairways make a golfer's heart beat faster. With the best conditions, we had a great day of golf, if it hadn't been for the 2-person flight from hole 6 in front of us, which took so much time that we had the impression that it was provoked to keep us guests waiting. The gentlemen took up to 5 minutes to finally hit their ball after a little chat on the track. Her deliberate way of moving around also disturbed the flow of our game considerably. Conclusion: A great golf course for € 140.00 green fee on weekdays. Unfortunately not again!!
