Always worth a visit ... :-))

I was on the course at Kölngolf for the first time in 2021, and even then I really liked the course :-) .

Due to the conversion and the new sprinkler system, the course has gained tremendously, and you will find a lush green fairway even in dry weather periods, which is by no means a matter of course. !!

Overall, the condition of the entire facility is really great. (Kudos to the greenkeeper team).

In the reception/pro shop, the employees are extremely helpful and competent.

After the round you can relax on the clubhouse terrace with a view of the 18th green.

There are actually not many club restaurants in Germany that I know that can shine with such a variety of food and drinks, and at a great price-performance ratio. :-)
The quality of the food is particularly noteworthy here... the chef can do something...

In summary, I can only say that a visit to the Cologne golf course is always worthwhile, whether to play golf or to eat something delicious. (will not be the last time here) ... keep it up :-)

Price performance and playable without membership

I give 5 stars, as it is one of the few facilities in the area and probably in Germany, the full-fledged 18 hole and is open to ALL, only a handicap is needed and that's great!

The place is nice wide, open, ideal for beginners to play an 18 hole course before you have a DGV ID card, etc.

The place I like very well, condition was good.

Solid casual golf in the north of Cologne

Played on 23.6.2018. Here, over 20 years ago, I did my first golf swings and the first level course. Now, after a few years, I finally came back to the resort and was after the negative reviews above honestly rather surprised. The flat, now ingrown Parklandanlage in the north of Cologne, is located directly on the A57 to Dusseldorf. Yes, if it bothers you, the highway can be heard clearly depending on the wind direction. The individual holes are certainly not very spectacular, but not boring laid out. The biggest challenge is the high rough and the dense bushes. If you play in there, the ball is almost gone. Strategic play is the alternative against ball losses. There are a few water hazards and doglegs as well as very well placed bunkers out of the game. On the backnine sometimes also high massive trees must be played around. Of many tracks you can not see the adjacent fairways. There are also one to two slightly higher haircuts. The care condition of the greens and bunkers was impeccable in my game. Some haircuts were a bit worn and unfortunately, that was the biggest drawback, the fairways were very dry. Possibly. the possibilities of a continuous irrigation are missing here. The game mode is usually very high and it also play many high HC on the system, where the Ford Golf Club is located. It is recommended to book a start time online or by phone. The exercise options are good. The clubhouse is functional and the staff in the secretariat friendly. The current green fee is rather cheap for Cologne and a surcharge for guests without "r" in the card is not known here golf sports. You should not expect a noble meadow and the view of train 14 on the chimneys of petroleum chemistry is certainly not a highlight, but you can certainly play a good round of golf here in a relaxed atmosphere.
