What a special day!

We played yesterday a tournament on gut Larchenhof. Reception was very nice. And during the day everything was organized in to detail. This level of service is hard to find an any golf course. And then the course itself, what a beauty! Super fast greens, the best fairways ever. You really have to place your bal on the right spot of the green. But if you do that then the greens are fair and you can hole a lot of puts. The par 5 can be reached in two for longer hitters, but you have to be straight from the tees as goes for al your thee shots. If you do that you can score, if you don't your lost because the rough is very tough!
Mr. President of Larchenhof, as said earlier, we will be back!

Perfect..

We played the course as guests on September 22,2022 and had a completely different experience than the previous speaker. The gate was opened after 15 seconds and the fact that the guest car park is now 20 meters to the left of the clubhouse didn't bother us much. But the crucial thing is that the place presented itself in great general condition - fairways carpets, greens fast and true. When we ran into a group of men, we were immediately waved through - even more: one of the men ran across the entire fairway after our tee shots to find the drive I had hit into the rough - with success. Great place, friendly reception, excellent gastronomy, top training conditions including range balls... all of this is unparalleled in the region. Only the hustle and bustle around Jack Nicklaus place design is a bit annoying. Of course, the layout is appealing, but if you didn't know it, you wouldn't guess that the master was at work here. Of course, constantly emphasizing it is part of the marketing policy.

Guests undesirable!

Today we were with 2 people (Mr. HCP 14 and 15) on the Lärchenhof golf course as guest players. The entrance gate can only be opened by the reception with a bell function, which we have pressed several times. After waiting around 10 minutes and continuously ringing the bell, another vehicle drove up behind us, the driver of which got out immediately, opened the gate with a chip and reprimanded us in an unfriendly tone with the words: Why are you stopping the members from driving in here? “The next note“ Parking for members only ”makes it clear that guests are not welcome because there are no other parking options. However, the very friendly welcome at the front desk was pleasing. The courses are in perfect top condition. All fairways make a golfer's heart beat faster. With the best conditions, we had a great day of golf, if it hadn't been for the 2-person flight from hole 6 in front of us, which took so much time that we had the impression that it was provoked to keep us guests waiting. The gentlemen took up to 5 minutes to finally hit their ball after a little chat on the track. Her deliberate way of moving around also disturbed the flow of our game considerably. Conclusion: A great golf course for € 140.00 green fee on weekdays. Unfortunately not again!!

Round of golf on 23.9.2019 Schlömer minor at 10 o'clock

Dear ladies and gentlemen of the management of GC Lärchenhof, my name is Erik Moll and I am Pga Professional from the beautiful Gross-Zimmern. I had the pleasure of playing golf with you today. My companion on the round was my stepson. I drove to Offenbach from Offenbach to play a round of golf with him because he lives in Cologne. I was very surprised that I was charged a green fee of 125 €. This is something that was completely alien to me in Germany. Not any longer longer. All of my colleagues and I are trying to gain members through the good training, in-depth knowledge, dedication and so on for the places we work for, so that the whole thing works and the golf clubs can work economically. I think we are an important factor in this system. We are all PGA Professionals wholeheartedly and actually all the golf clubs that I have played in Germany so far show that I am in the form of free play for this work if you do not take advantage of that. Apparently you have had bad experiences with Pga Professionals in Lärchenhof. My stepson and I made a turnover of 290 € for you today. After the game we actually wanted to eat something in the club restaurant and I bring my wife on such occasions like a little something from the pro shop. But when I was told that I had to pay full green fee, I really did not feel like spending even one Euro on you. Too bad, because that has a nice day, with a funny aftertaste, end. Best regards, Erik Moll

Just perfect

Could play this Sunday a really great and very well-kept place by Jack Nicklaus...
Even the cautious question whether one as a guest on Sunday may play was very friendly answered.
The good impression continued at the reception (at all not overbearing or unfriendly, just great) and was also not disappointed on the driving range( free balls in pyramidal form :-)
In the end you could enjoy a top-ranked place, supplemented by friendly members, even of white is still playable.
Of course, all this has its price, but worth its money!

Good, Better, Lärchenhof

I have played some good places in Germany and in Europe. Not all primarily highly rated places (whether Leading Golf Course or not) could convince or offer a fair price-performance ratio. This already!
I know the place through many rounds, I went along the iR there regularly scheduled tournaments on the European Tour. Playing the place makes a lot more fun. The Jack Nicklaus design of all tracks is varied, challenging and although many tracks were recorded by flights that you are undisturbed for themselves. Now just before the next tournament the Greenkeeping has the place incredibly good job. Through all the rain of the past few weeks, the greens are soft and the balls are good to get to stand. I myself do not like to ausmahlen when the greens are dry here to play GIR, challenging the. Although the Greens were sanded run the balls super fair. The fairways are all top and the rough is a real challenge (a few extra balls worth the Bag!). The practice range is also ***. Here instead of rock hard Practisbällen repulsed with precious balls, as well nicely stacked in a pyramid and email not from the machine. Clubhouse and changing rooms ***. When can I play again...?

Fantastic!

The spacious golf course Gut Lärchenhof would would radiate even more fascination in bad weather than many others in the sunshine. And I was lucky enough to play the only Jack Nicklaus course in Germany in glorious spring weather and 23 degrees. A golf dream!!

I was once thought that I had to remind me later to individual exceptional cars and greens, to be able to say that I've played in a really great place. Seen in this way would Lärchenhof nothing special. No Spectacular tee over canyons and waterfalls, no wild, sprawling bunker areas, not artificially elevated plateau greens or the like. No, it is the totality of this great area. The location, the absolute silence, the layout and beautifully shaped webs / fairways. And there are also pitfalls hidden. The simple at first sight path to the greens is complicated by cleverly positioned bunkers, and it has left the faiway first time involuntarily, then waits a quite high, challenging semi-rough on solutions. The greens are challenging, but not super fast and are therefore very fair. The condition on and off the fairways is 1-18 spotless and exemplary. And then the 19! A modern, well worth seeing, spacious clubhouse with excellent gastronomy!

Finally, also a word about the staff and the club's leadership: While we were rejected by some (smaller) golf clubs in the Greater Dusseldorf because ONE of our flight partners could not yet provide the Mindeshandicap (but the majority was single-handicapper), we received from Lärchenhof very friendly and uncomplicated start time in the early morning. Class!!!

Conclusion: An unforgettable day of golf on a brilliant system! Because I would forgive NEN sixth star... 110 € are certainly not a bargain, but compared to 70/80 euros on so many average investment Lärchenhof is absolutely worth the money. And to do so, not every week...

European Challenge Tour Course

Super well-kept and challenging course in a very quiet location. Very nice reception, swanky club house with first-class restaurant. Unfortunately, very high green fees (especially on weekends) and Duch the required specifications for high HC HC a chance to play barely there. Still, who can and should be allowed to take his chance, it's worth it!
