Augusta feeling in Immenbeck / Buxtehude

Played on May 31,2020. The 9-hole course (PAR 36) is approx. 40 km southwest of Hamburg in absolute tranquility and nature and can be reached relatively quickly via the A1 or A26. When you stand at the first tea you get a wonderful view with a touch of Augusta National due to the plants. Lanes 1,4 and 5 go more or less through a forest, some with very steep gradients, whereby lanes 4 and 5 are also very narrow and laid out on a slope. All three lanes are relatively short, but still a real challenge. On the green of lane 4, a statue was carved out of a “historic” oak. The remaining tracks are fairly open and flat. Lanes 2 and 9 have different discounts for a possible second round and change from PAR 4 to PAR 5 and vice versa. Lane 8 has a nice dogleg and one or the other bunker defends the quite interesting greens. The condition was good, if not perfect on all parts of the fairway and on the tees. At lane 1 and lane 6, at least currently, you tee off from mats. The green fee of currently € 35 for 9 holes, which you can also pay at the green fee mailbox when the secretariat is closed, is fine, although not cheap at least on weekdays. A surcharge for golfers without a hologram is not paid to promote golf. Starting times, which are currently required here due to Corona, can only be booked as a guest in advance by telephone or email. An email from me was answered quickly and friendly. As a guest on a Sunday morning, I was able to start the round very early before an upcoming tournament. The game operation was still very manageable. The secretariat is probably housed in the old manor house, which looks impressive from the outside. If you are nearby, a slightly "different round" of golf is definitely recommended.
