Characteristics
Situated within the grounds of the National Sports Centre near Arnhem, this course offers a challenging round amidst the rolling landscape of the Veluwezoom. The 18-hole layout is defined by its natural integration into forests and meadows, devoid of artificial water hazards. Instead, elevation changes, thick rough, and numerous bunkers test strategic play. The area is rich in wildlife, including badgers and deer. After the game, the terrace of restaurant 'De Hofmeester' provides commanding views over the 1st and 18th holes.

Good facility..

...which is located in the middle of the Dutch Olympic training center. The training opportunities are accordingly good, including a free TopTracer on the huge range. The course is attractively laid out on a slightly hilly course surrounded by heather and fruit trees, and when we visited on June 12th, the greens were really fast and true. I'm generally wondering what the Dutch do so much better in terms of greenkeeping than we do in Germany, but the fact is... most of the courses here are simply in better shape.
What is striking is the high age of the membership on this Wednesday afternoon and we also decided not to watch a few flights of four "push the ball thirty meters forward" for longer and ended the round early. This was annoying but should not have been taken into account in the evaluation of this really good golf course.
