Solid investment near Nijmegen

Played on October 7th, 2021. The flat 18-hole course (cart not required) with an additional 9-hole short course is located a little north of Nijmegen near Arnhem in absolute tranquility and nature, where a few fenced sheep graze comfortably and some water birds can be admired during the round. The facility can be reached quickly from the A50 / A15 and A325 motorways. You don't park in the parking lot of the upstream shops (including a golf shop), but drive back through the courtyard to the club parking lot. Even if the big highlights are missing, the tracks are always varied. Water often comes into play through ponds and streams and one or the other ingrown trees require strategic play every now and then. Most of the tees are relatively open, so that higher HC, at least from the front tees, should be able to cope. For the first tee, you go through a tunnel to the other side of the street. The front 9 is the front 10 here, as you are only then back at the clubhouse. Some players skip the somewhat remote loop of lanes 15 to 17 and go to 18 after 14. During the round, you have the opportunity to use an interesting "autonomous" toilet twice with ventilation through an outside chimney! Overall, the condition was okay, the greens loyal and fast. Due to the continuous rain the day before, the place was relatively wet and many bunkers were still full of water. The game was busy on an initially cloudy, then sunny Thursday afternoon. You absolutely need a start time. You can see the free start times on the homepage. I asked for a start time by email and got an answer very quickly. I had the pleasure to play with two nice ladies. As almost everywhere in Holland, the atmosphere is relaxed and everyone greeted us in a friendly manner. Playing in blue jeans is not a problem. The clubhouse with restaurant (not in use) and terrace in front of the 18th green is solid. The changing rooms are relatively small and not the most modern but clean. The clerk at the clubhouse was busy and friendly. The regular green fee is staggered according to weekdays and weekends and according to the time. It is most expensive between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. There is a sundowner from 4 p.m. I paid € 59, which is perfectly reasonable. There is also a free drink in the clubhouse after the round. Unfortunately, you only tee off from mats on the driving range. Balls are available from the machine from 50 cents to 2 euros using the appropriate coins. There is a putting green on the first tee and on the 18th green. A lap can be recommended to anyone who is in the vicinity.
