Very nice area. Golf course maintained properly

I played red / white.
Both courses have been well maintained and unless a shower on the 9th all has been fine.
Red has been more challenging with a lot of bunkers. White is nice to play but easy.
Generically a course for low scores in a really nice area.
The service and the food in the club house is excellent.
The hotel is worth a stay. The garden is beautyful!
So all together worth to visit.

Stayed and played at San Vigilio over a few days. The golf course was challenging for all levels of golfers in our party and was in great condition, although we found the greens surprisingly. Only negative was rather poor service in the clubhouse restaurant.

I was a year member and left in mid-August. The 27-hole, 3-hole course, with its par 5s and par 4s, is long and wide, but the layout is incredibly boring, extremely flat, and every hole has a water hazard that isn't really challenging. The crowd reflects this: the pace of play is far too slow, and there's no marshal in sight. And, of course, as is typical for "real" golfers, everyone uses a cart, taking up the entire width of the fairway. One player's ball is out on the left, another on the right, and the carts whiz along. Sometimes there are even three people crammed into one cart. Course maintenance is inconsistent; there are bare patches on the fairways, divots that haven't been replaced, the greens are covered in pitch marks, and all the flagsticks are crooked in their cups.
There are definitely better places around the lake.
