Located in a villa area, virtually all golf courses in the Sotogrande region are within 15 minutes. The hotel itself is modern. When checking in you have to pay a deposit of €200 per day! This can quickly lead to a higher sum if you stay for a longer period of time. Parking outside the complex is free, parking in the hotel parking garage costs €18 / day. The service is average. A day of golf was unproblematically rebooked because of rain, but - despite other confirmations - a start time had been booked on the wrong day, so that on one day we had no start time, but on another day we had two parallel start times on two different courses.
The rooms are housed in many small buildings, so you have to walk a bit to the restaurants or the breakfast area. The rooms are modernly furnished and the multimedia facilities are very good. The noise insulation is rated very negatively. You can hear every (!) bathroom noise from the next room, as well as the footsteps or the television. In addition, the air conditioning cooler hums as loudly as if a car were parked in front of the room with the engine running.
The background noise continues in the breakfast room. When the breakfast room is completely full, the atmosphere is like that of a train station.
The 27-hole course is averagely maintained and the greens are fast. The places are hilly, but can also be walked on foot (carry bag or trolley). Unfortunately, there is neither a driving range nor a practice facility for pitching and chipping. There is only one putting area.
