We really liked the hotel. We paid the surcharge for Unique which gave us access to the lovely Unique breakfast area. The pool is very nice and we could always find free sun loungers near our room. The bar is decorated in an airy African style, according to the motto of the whole hotel. Even during the day, this gives a pleasant feeling, which is enhanced by lighting at night. The courtyards of the various buildings are each dedicated to a theme, bamboo, cactus, pond (with turtles and goldfish). The animal sculptures, which are distributed throughout the area, arouse curiosity and invite you to discover. A successful installation that is exciting for young and old. We also enjoyed the dinner in the buffet restaurant, the selection was varied every day, the presentation inviting at all times and there was always enough on offer, simply a pleasure in combination with the very good local wines.
About golf: Maspalomas is well maintained and the staff friendly. The course is not very varied and it is enough to play once. The other places are completely different. Meloneras is varied and also surprises in the second round. The second nine, which are led along the sea, ask for a breathtaking view and atmosphere. Again, very well cared for and friendly staff. Anfi Tauri Golf is the most demanding course, so it is also very exciting. The place almost has the character of a desert, as it has a lot of "waste area". Of course, this can be bypassed with precise play, but who always hits the ball the way he wants. Again, very well cared for and the staff friendly. The regulation with the terry towels for the shower is a bit idiosyncratic. You have to obtain this from a depot before the round, as the pro shop is no longer occupied in the afternoon - probably due to Corona. If you are not told in advance and only with a little emphasis we could still get the terry towels. So ask before the round or take the towels and preferably also shower products yourself. Salobre Golf is very interesting, unfortunately the condition of the course is different. You can tell that the resort was closed and only reopened with the new operator after Corona. The Old Course is open again and also very nicely laid out, but the longer "thirsty period" for the course has left its mark. It will probably take another 2-3 months until the place has recovered. As soon as it is in good condition again, the New Course will also be put back into operation. That will probably be the case in March / April 2022 at the earliest. The Old Course is a fair but challenging course from the play area and offers great photo subjects in addition to beautiful golf holes.
In addition to golf, the island also offers much too beautiful. Renting a car and exploring the island is definitely worth it. Typically for the Canaries, the north of the island is greener than the south. This is also associated with somewhat lower temperatures, which is why there are more "old", picturesque places in the north. The landscape is very varied and depending on the weather you have a breathtaking view in the mountains. Likewise, the different flora and fauna inspire, which not only changes from north to south but can also be different from valley to valley. It has a lot to discover, which is why we will come again. In addition, we haven't played "Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas" yet.

The hotel is relatively new and yet the decor is not compliant 5 Stars. The rooms are clean but the traces of the insufficient subsistence are obvious as mold in the bathroom, broken panes in the lobby, strong hand marks on furniture. After complaining ain room was allocated with better condition us thankfully.
The hotel has over 600 rooms, is home to more than 1,300 guests, but has no access system. Everyone - guests and non-guests - can theoretically and practically at any time access the hotel and the hallways to the rooms tract.
On offer there are two restaurants with buffets. For guests who are looking for a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere, are disappointed. An alternative such restaurant with à la carte menu there is not at the hotel resort, unfortunately.
This complex is a family resort and no destination for travelers looking for peace and relaxation.
