Founded in 1930, Ystad Golfklubb is one of Sweden's oldest and most respected clubs, situated on the scenic coast of Nybrostrand. The course offers a distinctive blend of parkland and seaside characteristics, originally designed by Thure Bruce. Players face a strategic challenge where the coastal wind is a constant factor, and water hazards heavily influence the front nine. Beyond the challenging layout, the club features modern practice facilities equipped with Toptracer technology and a welcoming restaurant, Skafferiet, perfect for post-round dining.

I played the course on 24.6.2019. The place condition is good. The characteristic lies somewhere between Parkland or Heidecourse with a slight left attitude (at least concerning the bunker and the greens). The operators largely refrain from using chemicals in their care. The small sheep areas serve the course maintenance and belong to the play area. The pro shop and the food are good. Too bad that no green fee for 9-hole rounds is offered.
