Golf pleasure
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 5, 2026
For a description of the place, I refer to the previous reviews, which accurately reflect everything.
Regarding the current condition, I can say that the tees, fairways, and greens were in excellent condition. The greens are still extremely slow. We paid £30 for 9 holes, but could have played all day for £9 more.
There wasn't much activity due to the changeable weather. There were probably never more than 5 flights on the field at the same time today.
The round of golf definitely enhanced our trip to the Glenfinnan Viaduct and Mallaig.

Fun factor
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 9, 2025
As already described, the views are fantastic and, thanks to the "unusual" design, quite fun to play. However, if you reduce the course to just golf, three stars would be appropriate, as the holes are quite short, the condition is satisfactory, and the greens aren't too fast. There's no clubhouse or changing facilities either.

A must for the adventurous golfer
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 15, 2025
We'd read such absurd descriptions of this course, we had to go. The website, like the Birdie Book, is absolutely charmingly designed and tempts you to make a detour here.
On-site, you'll find the cutest, sweetest golf course I've ever seen. Between the sea and the road lies a tiny parking lot that can barely accommodate a dozen cars. Across the road is a small building – the clubhouse. There's no catering, but there are snacks, a restroom, a tiny pro shop, and trolleys, which we deliberately didn't use here. Carrying is more convenient.
Then it's on to the first hole, which is a slanting climb to a flag. The distance is easy to laugh at, but with a bit of wind, we weren't able to get close to the green once in two rounds. The second hole awaits the men with a 170-meter carry shot from a hill to a plateau, topped off by a tiny, hidden green. I won't describe all nine holes, but it's simply fun. Plenty of challenges, plus breathtaking views of the nearby bay and the sea. And we even saw deer on the fairway.
At 35 pounds for 2 x 9 holes, it's absolutely fair and even though professional golf will never be played here, it's a course we'll never forget.
