Tanka Golf Villasimius

Tanka Golf Club, a course of rare beauty designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli, one of the most famous Italian designers, is contained in a natural setting, where the smell of salty air mingles with the scents of Mediterranean scrub that grows on the coast of Villasimius called, not surprisingly, Polynesia of the Mediterranean.

The course awarded in 2007 by magazine “ The World of Golf” as best new golf course in Italy, unfolds on a surface of 40 acres overlooking the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara.

The par 70 and the 5418 meters length must not mislead players, imagining it as simple course, to face with superficiality, indeed, technique, precision and concentration are the three musts needed to play the course with the right spirit.

Players can practice in a 12 covered plus 15 uncovered stations driving range and a beautiful putting green, both have an outdoor lighting system, allowing players to challenge each other also at night.

In terms of game, the front 9 holes are a bit difficult and require a good variety of shots but the difficulties are rewarded by the spectacle offered by nature, the back nine are flatter and allow players to take a breath, and have more time to focus on the score

After playing golf, guests can take the opportunity of relaxing in the Spa of the adjacent Tanka Village, or to dedicate themselves to the many recreational activities and sports that the Resort has to offer.

Tanka Golf Villasimius promotes the game of golf all year long; it’s aim is to represent a good offer in the tourism industry in the whole of southern Sardinia. The course is located just an hour from Cagliari airport and is reachable with the panoramic secondary road No. 17, south-east direction or with the new main road No. 125.
