Sölvesborgs Golfklubb offers a scenic golfing experience where nature and sport meet. Founded in 1989 and originally designed by Sune Linde, the 18-hole course is built on sandy soil, ensuring excellent drainage and a long playing season. The layout winds through pine forests and opens up to spectacular views of Sölvesborg Bay, particularly on the finishing holes which run alongside the water. Facilities include a 9-hole Pay & Play course, a popular "Himalaya" putting green, and on-site cabins. The connection to the town via a long pedestrian bridge adds to the accessibility of this coastal venue.

Scenic route

We played the course in early June after attending the Sweden Rock Festival. Tee times were tightly scheduled over the weekend, but there was never any stress from following groups. People in Sweden are generally relaxed, even on the golf course. The course is situated in a pine forest, the fairways are relatively narrow, and the greens are well-maintained. There was no real rough alongside the fairways, just pine needles as a base. Therefore, errant shots weren't punished with lost balls. There were a few water hazards on the back nine. It was a lot of fun.
