The Course Awaits...

The challenge begins from the first tee embarking onto a testing 7,150 yard Par 72 course set on 260 acres of magnificent links land. There is an abundance of natural vegetation and wonderful dunes awaiting any errant shot. Every club in the bag is required to play this championship course. Progress through a front nine with a slightly heath land feel with an abundance of gorse and mature tress lining the boundary off the course. Water comes into play on 5 of the holes.

The back nine drift close to the sea and are characterised by uneven fairways, thick rough and deep bunkers, requiring accuracy both of the tee and into the greens. Continuing home to the clubhouse presents little time to relax with the last three holes weaving through dunes and distracting the golfer with panoramic views and a strong sea breeze - pure links enjoyment.

Seapoint opened in June 1993 and was designed by 'Des Smyth' Associates', a combination of the Irish Tour Golfer Des Smyth and Leading Irish Internationalist Declan Branigan.

The experiences acquired by the pairing through their distinguished careers, combined with the undulating landscape have resulted in a truly spirited links course that will set a challenge for any standard of golfer. Playing this course means you are becoming part of an exclusive club; there are only approximately 150 links courses in the world. Seapoint is a proud and well respected member. Experience this impressive course on a stunning stretch of coastal land, with breathtaking views of the Mountains of Mourne alongside a sweeping Irish Sea. Seapoint is certainly one of the most beautiful links courses in the world.

A real surprise Links Course and great value

This Course was selected for the Irish PGA Championships in 2010 and 2011 and has been chosen to host the Irish Close Championships in 2014. Previous Winners include Rory Mc Ilroy, Graham Mc Dowell, Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry and Paul Mc Ginley and so it came as no surprise when very impressed with this Links right on the Sea beside Baltray.
Closing Holes are magic and you can see them all in a FLYOVER VIDEO on the Seapoint App which is free in App Store. Great value and a fantastic Restaurant with Award winning Chef who joined the Team in June 2013.
Happy Days

Links - Golf with late lake view

The course is right next to the County Louth. The different history makes the difference of 100 € for a round. Seapoint has the first 9 holes not directly at the sea. This is why the left-wing feeling is not quite right. On the second nine is left-handed pure golf. Natural, but still fair and playable. In strong winds the score goes into the basement.
The greens were hard and fast - just typical links.
The people in the Proshop and the restaurant were very friendly.
The place I can really recommend.
