The first golf course of Santa Cruz was founded in 1959 with 9 holes. Later, in 1995, it was expanded to 18 holes, measuring 5.641 yards. This is the club where golfers such as Candy Hannemann, a Brazilian competing on the LPGA tour, and Adilson Silva, a golf professional in South Africa, started to play.
