Located near Jönköping, Sand Golf Club offers a unique golfing experience as one of Sweden's few true inland links courses. Constructed on deep sandy soil by renowned architects Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest in 2005, the layout features dramatic dunes and deep bunkers typical of coastal golf, despite its inland setting. The course meets high USGA standards and requires strategic play from tee to green. Facilities include a driving range, a gym, and the excellent Bistro Sand, with on-site hotel accommodation making it a perfect destination for extended stays.

A wonderful links course in the middle of the wooded nature. Since it was windy during our round, the only thing missing was the view over the dunes to the sea for the perfect links golf experience.
As expected, the tracks are embedded in a dune landscape. Narrower fairways wrap around the dunes, plenty of pot bunkers and long fairway bunkers. There is a lot of tall grass and small bushes in the planting, straight play helps.
Varied greens, fast, true to track and often undulating. A special golfing pleasure will certainly be even greater with the 2nd and 3rd round.
Extensive practice facilities and a clubhouse with a beautiful terrace and a view of the square. As usual, very friendly staff.
Special mention should be made of the use of the changing rooms / showers, also for guests, where everything is available. Hence the fifth star.
