Characteristics
The course is arranged on an antique ground monument and fits exceptionally well into the nature of the left Lower Rhine. It is situated close to the 800-year-old manor Wildenrath that is surrounded by water trenches. Within the defiant walls of this manor there is a nice restaurant and an adventure farm. The expansion from 9 to 18 holes was finished in autumn of 2002.

Overall, I found a golf course in a beautiful setting that would be worth a visit for a great golf course, but:
Overall, the place could use a lot more care.
The fairways were mowed worse than my lawn at home.
There were bunkers that lacked the sand to be a sand hazard.
There was a screw sticking out of a rake that got caught on my pants so badly that I need new pants.
Two greens had tire tracks on the edges, as if an excavator had driven along them.
The teas were so watered that they smacked underfoot.

We found an absolutely quiet and freshly mown place.
Upon arrival, everyone was nice and friendly. Four of us played on a Monday.
No start times - absolutely great no waiting times - hardly anything going on all flat, easy to walk, nice tracks, without any major highlights nevertheless Interesting to play. The restaurant is very cozy and nice.
But the best thing is a super day at an unbeatable price with advantage book 2 for 1-- 40 Euro so 20 Euro for each TOP TOP TOP

The clubhouse and the entire location of the "Rittergut" is rustic and extremely inviting. The clubhouse terrace is also cozy and it doesn't bother that you don't have a view of the course. The reception is very friendly and uncomplicated.
The condition is certainly not "high-end". But ultimately perfectly adequate to allow real golfing as a natural course. The layout of the course is sometimes varied and sometimes not that easy to play. The drive landing zones are often narrow and the long par 3s in particular can pose a challenge. The arrangement of the 18 holes is a bit irritating - which also leads to some distances; but it is very well signposted.
Perhaps not a place for golfers who are only concerned with the sporting aspect. But a great place if you also enjoy nature and tranquility. 18 holes of golf that feel like a mini vacation.
