Situated in the midst of the Rhineland more than 1,200 ft above the precipitous Rhine and Lahn Valley, the 18-hole golf course of the Mittelrheinische GC Bad Ems is a quiet and secluded location. The spacious holes, that were integrated into the landscape and are framed by old trees, provide a terrific panoramic view of the low mountain range of the Rhineland, the Hunsrück, the Eifel, and the Westerwald. Moreover, this golf course has an excellent reputation among sportsmen.

We played the course on 06/23/2022. The system is overall in top condition. The hilly parkland course with old trees and numerous inclines requires tactical and precise play. We had a great time on a beautiful sunny morning.

Played the beautiful, very hilly parkland course with mature trees on July 29th, 2021. Overall moderately difficult course (minimum handicap 45 justified) with mostly wide fairways, some water hazards and rather longer lanes. Beautiful views of the Rhine Valley, sometimes quite a climb and height differences. After 18 lanes without an e-cart or trolley, you know what you've done. The greens in particular are well maintained. Hole 19 highly recommended. Disciplined friendly audience. Etiquette is lived. Overall, the place exudes a positive and relaxed atmosphere; that's why we'd love to come back.

We are happy that - unlike in Bavaria, for example - we can play golf at all. This is only possible as a couple and with online advance registration via PC Caddy, a maximum of 5 days in advance. That works perfectly and the club manager and secretariat have a friendly and watchful eye. I have seldom experienced such relaxed golfing without waiting and pressure.
The course is very well maintained, the greens aerated, sanded and now back in top condition. The drought of recent years has damaged numerous trees; they had to be felled without losing their parkland character. Safety first. Some tracks are very long. I just knock off the blue. You also need a good level of fitness in the hilly landscape. Even with repeated games, the course never gets boring, it is extremely varied. We hope that the gastronomy will be able to reopen soon and that foreign players can enjoy the place.
