I (Hcp. 14.9) wanted to play once at GC Westerwald on Saturday, July 10th, 2021. Since I have about 100 km to travel, I prefer to call the club first to see if they can play. On 01.10.19 we played a round with 18 holes in very mixed weather. From rain, storm and sun everything was there. We liked the whole area. Unfortunately, the coffee was closed due to the weather, but we could warm up in the clubhouse and take a coffee at the machine.

The only slightly hilly area (Cart not required) is located in the middle of nowhere at the Westerwald Lake District in absolute peace and nature. Until the next motorway, the A3 is about 20 km. There are a few water hazards or doglegs, otherwise some biotopes and bunkers to avoid. The place is grown but still quite open, so that even higher HC should come clear. The condition was very mixed during my visit, probably because of the aftermath of the heat summer. Apart from a mole problem, there were some bald spots on the fairways, which were also slotted straight and also some of the men's haircuts seemed rather unkempt and uneven. The greens were aerated but otherwise fine, if not very fast. The clubhouse makes a functional impression without any special flourishes. When the secretariat is closed, you pay your reasonable green fee at the practical greenfeebrief box. Unfortunately, there is not a promotion of golf sports, a surcharge of 25 € for guests without hologram. The game operation on a sunny Sunday afternoon was very high, which lt. The very nice members playing with me is rather unusual and was probably the last beautiful day of the year owed.
