Retirement course

This review is part of my travel blog from our vacation. Marielyst Golf was our ninth golf stop on our roadtip. We adjusted a bit our itinerary and found slot to play golf before departure to Germany. I jump into reception and checking, there were very nice lady who offered to wash my back after the game what I have to gladly reject ;) since I'm out of market already ;) We choose this course again thanks to Golfhaftet card acceptance and location. As already said green north of Germany are perfect. Design and layout nothing special, flat, not many interesting shots, we did not enjoy it much. I assume this is more vacation course for German retirement people, however its still good to play golf than be in the office. Best were the greens there, rest was just so so. We did not have time to go restaurant after game and I'm not even sure it was still open. We finish, took a shower, which by the way was probably the worst one out of the visited clubs, but clean, no towels there so we took our owns. and we are off to Germany to play WINSTON golf, what I was looking forward to. Anyway thanks for hospitality and offer ;)

OK

A truly peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The course itself is relatively short and very playable with irons. You should mostly avoid using the driver unless it consistently lands the ball exactly where you want it to. Many penalty areas appear quite unexpectedly, as they are rather oddly laid out. The greens were decent, and the fairways were so-so. Unfortunately, the tee boxes were in rather poor condition. Overall, an easy course that's playable if you're in the area.

Surprisingly beautiful place

We (HCP 13.5 and 16.8) were on vacation and took our golf equipment with us to maybe go and play.
The place was 2 km away from our accommodation.
We played there twice and were very impressed with the course and the entire facility.
Firstly, we were able to take our dog with us.
There is also a staggered green fee and from 4 p.m. onwards you only have to pay 300DK.
The course was very playable, the fairways were in good condition - despite the dry ground - and the greens were first class to play on.
Absolutely uniform, visually in wonderful condition.
The landscape was also varied and gave us a very nice and entertaining time.
We were very satisfied and can absolutely recommend playing this course.
