Characteristics
The golf course is surrounded by woodlands, mountains, castles, and palaces and provides a view of the splendid Rhine Valley and the surrounding vineyards every now and then. The fairways are strongly modelled and each feature four different teeing grounds, big bunkers, numerous water hazards, and fast, very undulating greens. The local Golfhotel will celebrate its reopening in spring 2026 following renovation work.

We played first Friday after the release of lockdown in RLP.
.Tee Off, Fairway in good condition except Hole No. 18. Rough quite high already. Semi rough cutted in the last days, without removal of the grass. This made quite difficult to find the ball.
Greens were very slow, Ball didn't roll smoothly, there are many small dents, places without grass, pitchmarks most probably not repaired on time. Bunkers without sand.
Overall, not so good impression paying 75 Euro Greenfee,

We played the course for the first time after the improvements (drainage, fairway irrigation, etc.) and were thrilled. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in top condition. The course itself is impressive due to its location, the landscape, and the views of the Rhine Valley. The fairways are designed with variety and offer challenges without being unfair; the names for each hole are very nice. The hotel is currently closed and undergoing renovations. The bistro restaurant is unfortunately declining sharply and is not worth a visit.
