Situated on England's celebrated Golf Coast, Hillside presents a tale of two nines. While the opening holes traverse flatter ground alongside the railway line—recently elevated by Martin Ebert's renovations—the back nine transforms into a dramatic spectacle. Here, fairways thread through towering wild dunes and valleyed corridors, a landscape Fred Hawtree shaped in the 1960s. Frequently hosting DP World Tour events, the course offers a sense of isolation and challenge that famously impressed Jack Nicklaus.
