Characteristics
Since 1978 the Golf Course "Auf der Lausward" has been known as Germany's first public golf course. Since the 1rst January 1997 the GSV Düsseldorf has managed the course on its own initiative. Here, "Auf der Lausward" a totally mixed public meets to play golf together. The social intercourse is uncomplicated and friendly. The GSV Düsseldorf is a well-maintained 9-hole course, but nothing truly special. The greens are somewhat strangely designed, almost all of them elevated, and the clientele consists mainly of recreational golfers.
