Tour Feeling

We played the north course and i must say that it is an amazing golf course.
Beautifully integrated in the natural terrain with an abundance of water all around the fairways. The quality of the turf was outstanding but the greens where not that fast. It was easy to walk, but make no mistake, it is a very long course. It plays about 6650m from the yellow tees and more than 7000 off white. So your long game should be really solid, otherwise you will collect shots in abundance… as we did. You get a good idea about whats going on on tour.

They have a relatively short south-course too, probably more suitable for beginners or higher handicaps.

After the round we had a great dinner. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. A really good value for money and i can only recommend it!

Green Eagle South West Course

No tee markers were present. Ball washers, when available, required holding onto the ball while it was being washed. The long paths between the fairways were made of construction debris. The fairways were very difficult to see; even with a Garmin 82, it wasn't clear where the course was. The greens were excellent. We think the North Course is great, but we'll never play the Southwest Course again for the green fee.

Very heavy, very long, lots of water!

I think the headline says it all about our feelings about the North Course.

What remains in my memory: It is a great long golf course in very well-maintained condition; everything was where it needed to be and where it should be!

I have to say, we played there the day after the Porsche European Open, and it was still in tour mode. The North Course is definitely for athletic and long golfers. The design is fun and also practically drives you to the point of nervous breakdown.
It's a real bummer when, as a woman, you can't reach a par 3 without using your driver. 😂 But that's exactly what makes it so special, and it's not called the green monster for nothing. We would have preferred to call it the blue monster, though, because the many water hazards were a bit stressful for us.
