We played the north course and i must say that it is an amazing golf course.
Beautifully integrated in the natural terrain with an abundance of water all around the fairways. The quality of the turf was outstanding but the greens where not that fast. It was easy to walk, but make no mistake, it is a very long course. It plays about 6650m from the yellow tees and more than 7000 off white. So your long game should be really solid, otherwise you will collect shots in abundance… as we did. You get a good idea about whats going on on tour.
They have a relatively short south-course too, probably more suitable for beginners or higher handicaps.
After the round we had a great dinner. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. A really good value for money and i can only recommend it!

North and South/West course

Northbound route:
I've played it several times. Long with water hazards. As long as you play from the front tees, it's actually quite playable. Nothing particularly special, though. Only the later-added 14th hole looks nice. A long time ago, I was tempted to play from the back tees and found it extremely tough. The first three holes were okay, and then the drama began with a 480-meter par 4. And it continued like that from then on.
Southbound route:
Nine holes have been newly created. We were told this will eventually become the seniors' course. It's not particularly long, especially since there are only two tee boxes (yellow/red), but it's quite narrow with a lot of water. This course is not very forgiving. You really need to play extremely straight. There's no yardage book or tee markers yet, only total distances. This makes it quite an adventure, which we were warned about. For example, on one hole, we weren't even sure whether we should play to the left or right of a small wooded area.
Westbound:
Holes 10 through 18 of the newly created Ryder Cup course (extremely ambitious). We saw four tee boxes here. The two front ones were set up, which kept the distance manageable. However, they were narrow with a lot of water. You absolutely had to hit the fairway, otherwise the ball would end up in the water or, more likely, lost in the debris. The next shot was often an adventure, as you didn't really know what to do next. Unless you kept running back and forth. But we didn't bother, as the distances between the holes were already quite long.
Overall, I found the South/West course very difficult to play, especially the first time. The North course, with the right tee shot, is significantly easier due to its much wider width. Furthermore, the fairways are young and still need time to mature. The green fee is also quite high; there are nicer courses nearby.

No tee markers were present. Ball washers, when available, required holding onto the ball while it was being washed. The long paths between the fairways were made of construction debris. The fairways were very difficult to see; even with a Garmin 82, it wasn't clear where the course was. The greens were excellent. We think the North Course is great, but we'll never play the Southwest Course again for the green fee.
