Characteristics
The partly very narrow fairways with many trees demand a precise and straight game. All in all there are four doglegs, which have to be mastered, and the strategically placed bunkers and partly small greens demand less longhitter qualities than technique and feeling when approaching them.

Great 9-hole course with fantastic service!

We had a truly wonderful time here. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. When the weather spoiled our plans and we had to wait for rain to interrupt our round, they were extremely accommodating: we're welcome to come back next time to continue our game! The course itself is a really beautiful 9-hole course, impeccably maintained. We'll definitely be back!

A beautiful, old and traditional club just behind the Ruhr dike awaits you in the green lung of Essen.
A large tennis club and the ETUF's nine-hole golf course are located along the Ruhr River. The completely flat fairways are set in a beautiful, mature parkland setting.
The parking lot of the Essen Gymnastics and Fencing Club's golf course is located behind a small barrier and welcomes guests in a very friendly manner!

Basically I prefer to play 18 different lanes instead of 2 x 9. But the course in Etuf Essen is extremely nice and I have only met pleasant members of the club.
Precise play helps well with the occasionally narrow lanes. It's better to use a stick or a long iron instead of the driver.
