Super day, wonderful course

Played 18 holes at Heidelberg-Lobenfeld last week, visiting Heidelberg.
Wonderful course, very good condition, greens challenging, each hole offers something different but fit together as 18 holes perfectly.
The course is demanding but I liked it. Spectacular views from around the course. The rough had been cut but could be a bit heavy in summer.
First cut from fairway could also be a bit shorter - A 22 handicapper needs a bit of help sometimes!!
Overall - loved it! Friendly people, friendly staff and I didn't want to leave the terrace with the view across the course. As they say in German "herrlich"

I have played the course several times this year and I am impressed: never boring, sporty and significantly improved. With holes 3 and 13, the course has two signature holes that many other clubs would like to have or that would stand out there too. A lot of work has been done on the course this year, the paths, the tree and bush trimming... everything has gone back to the original design. After it was sometimes difficult in rainy weather in previous years: that seems to be a thing of the past, a lot of aeration has been done and an enormous amount of sand has been added. For me it is the most beautiful course in the region anyway, with great infrastructure (training area, short course) and, above all, short paths on the course. Highlight: how the course is embedded in nature and you can enjoy the view from the balcony and terrace, from sunrise to sunset.
