On April 26,2025, due to lack of time, I unfortunately only played the front 9 at Habichtswald Golf Club. It was an experience!
It started with a really nice welcome, including a full briefing and the information that I could tee off 30 minutes before my booked tee time if I wanted to.
Several putting greens (some with a nice slope), chipping and pitching greens and a driving range (which is unfortunately a bit short at just over 150 meters), everything is there.
Very varied holes. (Partly) steep uphill and downhill. Well-placed bunkers. Holes with some 90-degree doglegs. Great water hazards. The course offered more than enough challenges for me as a beginner without being unfair. The greens were a bit slow that day, which may have been due to the weather of the past few days, but they were still fair.
All the members I met were very friendly and helpful. I even made friends and played a nice game with a friend.
You often read about clubs where green fee players aren't welcome. Habichtswald is a prime example of how it can work.

The golf course welcomes you with 18 varied holes, as well as a 6-hole short course. The holes have been integrated into the hilly terrain in such a way that no two holes are the same.
A constant up and down, with hills, depressions, slopes, ponds, large greens, well-placed bunkers, and much more. Especially on the front 9, you often stand higher up at the tee and can let your gaze wander down the fairways. On the back 9, you feel like you are playing more narrowly through tree-lined aisles. Not to forget the grand finale on holes 16,17 and 18. First a short 90° dogleg downhill, then a par 3 steeply back up the same hill. And then the final hole 18 down into a depression followed by a 90° dogleg - pure variety.
In addition, three modern Trackman golf simulator boxes have been installed in the hall at the driving range. This means that the golf course is also ideally equipped for periods of bad weather.
After the round, you can relax at the clubhouse on one of the various beautifully landscaped terraces.
