Surprisingly beautiful and well-kept place
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 16, 2023
Because there was a tournament in Hünxerwald, we accidentally switched to the Bruckmannshof and didn't regret it in the slightest. On the contrary: 9 holes with par 36 result in a fully-fledged course in an extremely beautiful and easy-to-walk Lower Rhine park landscape. The condition of the fairways and greens was impeccable, only the restaurant and changing rooms can't quite keep up with the (totally surprising for us) top condition of the place. However, the service was more than friendly.

9 hole challenge
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 19, 2020
Played on November 18th, 2020. The flat 9-hole course is located near the A3 a little north of Oberhausen in absolute tranquility and nature. The 9 lanes consist of 3x PAR 3, PAR 4, PAR 5. The lanes offer absolute challenges. Five doglegs alone await you. Even the first tee is a challenge over trees into the first dogleg and water in front of the green. Two narrow PAR 3 lanes then follow one after the other. The men's tee on the 8 is raised and must be played over a high tree and past the right biotope. Finally, water again in front of the green of PAR 3. There is never boredom. The maintenance condition was okay even if the bottom of the fairways was very wet and heavy. A trolley ban would make sense! The greens had some pitch marks and, above all, a lot of tree shedding. The putt lines always had to be prepared first. Otherwise, the greens were loyal and fast. Some tees have seen better times and it was sometimes difficult to find a suitable position. The game was busy on a sunny Wednesday afternoon in November. Due to the corona, one flight after the other started. Since there are no start times, I had to wait a bit. Lt. A very nice member with whom I got together, the rush was rather unusual and was probably due to the nice weather. There is a driving range behind the clubhouse with a restaurant (not tested as it is currently closed). Although according to the website the clubhouse is open on Wednesdays, I have not found a secretariat. I then paid the appropriate green fee (currently € 25 on weekdays / € 30 on weekends) for 9 holes at the practical green fee mailbox. By the way, on Tuesdays, guests are not allowed to enter the facility, there is a special price on Thursdays from 3 p.m. A surcharge for golfers without a hologram is not charged in a thankful way that promotes golf. For those who are in the area or only have time for 9 holes, a round with challenges can be recommended here.
