Mixed impression, but a lot of potential

We (adults and 2 kids) were there today, on an autumn day in July.
It's a mixed review, ideally with 3.5 stars.
Unfortunately, the prices listed here on 1golf. eu are no longer correct. Kids are no longer free (approx. €170 for 3 x 18 holes and a cart).
The course was empty, something I've never experienced before, even in the rain. I think there was another flight, two hours ahead of us. At first, we were completely unsure if it was even open and if anyone was there.
The range and ball machine are in really bad condition. The range is much too small, which is especially noticeable when there are dozens of range balls on holes 1 and 2... But since we were alone, it was safe.
The course itself has real potential. Magnificent scenery and an exciting concept with the holes circling the village. A few holes are really fun, but you have to be comfortable with blind tee shots and (large) trees in the middle of the fairway. Challenge accepted!
I've never experienced the greens like this before either; it's like playing on a carpet – super slow! But you get used to it, and hitting the flags is actually easier. The course has charm. Anyone expecting the shortest fairways and greens or the best bunkers will be disappointed, but it's perfectly in keeping with the natural experience.
We didn't try the clubhouse or the restaurant because, as I said, they were completely empty.

We stayed at this golf club with our camper for three nights! Were welcomed very relaxed and friendly! The well-kept and varied golf course surrounds the small town of Hillstett and you always have a great view of the hilly terrain over the small valley. Everything is very well maintained and the hosts are very friendly and helpful! The operators also offer apartments in the immediate vicinity of the golf club! We were offered a complete package for the three days, which was also very reasonably priced. Overall, we give it a big recommendation!
