Characteristics

The golf course of Refrath is still today one of Germany's championship courses with the highest standards. The special character of the course is coined by the play courses which are for the most part completely separated by trees. Several right and left doglegs demand precise strokes, since the ball must not fly too far. The entire terrain is slightly wavey and a course of stream that runs through the terrain often turns out to be a trappy hazard.

Simply beautiful

I played the course in mid-October 2024. Fleury44's review is very fitting. Everything is just right here. Even if a ball is not played precisely onto the fairway, it is still easy to find it again. The fairways are varied and the old trees are wonderful. The ground is playable despite autumn and rainy weather.
There is actually only one minor complaint: there are no signs at the tees indicating the course, only distances. But everyone who has paid the princely but reasonable green fee probably has a suitable GPS watch with them.
I will definitely play here again.

Wonderful Place

A wonderful golf course. We played it two weeks ago. In very good condition. Great trees. The course is challenging but always fair.
The food is also very good. We would love to come back

Just good

Played in September 2020.

Only moderate operation during the week. Stylish ambience, nice reception, well-kept range and training opportunities.

The course is wide and fair, but still tricky with a few doglegs and the mostly forward-hanging greens. The deep grass around the bunker is a great style element. We were never there, but still played out of it. The greens are still in great shape at the end of the summer and can be played evenly from the practice green to hole 18.

The look of the lanes with the tall trees, under which you can still find the ball and continue playing, is ingenious. Also the tranquility, only a stone's throw away from Cologne.

The beer after the round is served friendly on the beautiful terrace. All in all, a clear recommendation, the green fee of € 110 is absolutely appropriate.
