Good place in peace and nature near Roermond

Played on 7/22/2021. The flat 18-hole course with an adjoining 9-hole short course and hotel on the golf course is very rural in absolute peace and nature a little west of Roermond. From the next motorway you drive a few kilometers across the country. The way to the golf course leads past a beautiful villa suburb. Shortly before the entrance to the golf course there is a small farm in which a couple of white kangaroos are hopping around in the outdoor enclosure. The course is a refreshing mix of parkland and open lanes with a few crisp doglegs and water hazards. The rough is high and you should stay on the fairway if possible, otherwise you risk losing the ball. The condition of my game was good. Little foreign growth on the short mowed fairways. The greens were aerated but still very playable, undulating every now and then, but faithfully and quickly. The tees were also mostly good and not too worn due to the width. There was light, loose sand in the bunkers. The game operation was manageable on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. As a single player, I was able to start playing immediately and was immediately let through by a four-person flight on lane 2. Then I had a free run until shortly before the end of the lap. Start times are apparently not required, you join the game. I asked by e-mail a week before my game and immediately received a positive answer. From the outside, the clubhouse has the charm of the 70s at first glance. From the inside everything has been completely renovated and very attractive, including the sanitary areas and the restaurant. On the outside terrace in front of the 18th green, you can sit in various separate areas and listen to the splashing of the fountain. The employee in the clubhouse, or at the reception, was business-friendly and briefly described the way to the changing rooms and the first tea. The green fee depends on the season and now in the main season with 72 € on weekdays at the upper limit, but the space is there. The green fee includes as many balls as desired for the driving range. A machine spits out the balls at the push of a button. If you want to play a nice, varied round in absolute tranquility and nature, you shouldn't go wrong in Crossmoor.
