Well Presented Inner City Course

Played 18 today. Very enjoyable. Course is very green and well presented for what it is - not top shelf tournament track - more like your typical village local course. Greens were running true and at an average speed - guess 10 on the meter. Staff all helpful and pleasant enough club house without being grand. Nice cool beer! If you are travelling and need a round- this is a good choice. I hired clubs - €30 which is enough for the quality of them and compared to other European courses- €80 for green fees is ‘fully ‘ priced. I enjoyed my round and was satisfied overall at the end of the day.

The greens partially burned out and damaged. That's to be expected on the fairways when the weather is dry, but in a club like this the greens should be immaculate!
The bunkers are a disgrace. Hard and soft spots alternate in the bunker. The bunker edges are heavily overgrown and more than "natural". That simply cannot be the case with a golf club like this. A confirmation that the course maintenance is not taken seriously here. In addition, there is no information about the flag positions. Neither the marshal nor the caddy master nor the secretariat could provide any information about the flag positions at a tournament. Really now???
All in all, it was - except for the fairways - less than a provincial course that justifies a green fee of 110 euros in any case.

Played in strong winds, this old course, reminiscent of Scottish conditions, was a wonderful challenge. Fairways are wide, but knowledge of the place was still required. Greens with bunkers and some with water always well defended, so a strategic game was important.
Fairways great, bunkers great to play, greens excellent, fast and on track.
The most beautiful fairway was the 3, but a green well defended with water prevented us from attacking with the 2nd shot on this par 5.
