Characteristics

The golf course is located only about 30 minutes southeast of Munich. Its moraine landscape, which is typical of Upper Bavaria, permits varied fairways whose hilltops repeatedly afford players views of a stunning chain of Alpine peaks. Spacious greens, tricky obstacles and water hazards, an old tree population, and meticulous course maintenance characterize the course's spacious fairways. A modern restaurant with fresh regional cuisine surrounded by a sun terrace and beer garden invite you to linger here after you've finished playing your round.

The club is located in the village of Unterelkofen near Schloss Elkofen, which is one of the best preserved castles in Upper Bavaria and is still both maintained and inhabited by the Rechberg-Rothenlöwen family.

The entire team is committed to achieving a perfectly maintained course surrounded by an attractive ambience and a friendly and a pleasant atmosphere that can be felt everywhere you turn. Their prizewinning work with children and youths confirms the fact that our club also is an ideal contact point for golfing families.

Many signature holes

Except for holes 1 and 6 - Exciting golf course, wide fairways, very dry at the moment, fairways a bit yellow and hard, and the most beautiful greens, quickly free of fungus, the greens I've ever played, and that at 34°. The signature hole for the course was the 3rd, a short par 4.
Iron hole. Two shots sunk in the front-of-the-green bunker. A bunker 4 meters deep. Great. Often good views of the Alps, e.g., the Wendelstein. Lots of ups and downs, water on holes 6,12, etc. Which is tough with a 34 and a carry bag. Hit a high-voltage power line like in [unclear] and a flag right in front of the wind turbine.
Italian restaurant with a beer garden or a dream terrace with the Alps right in front of you. Plus, half price. Great, except for the journey there.

Really beautiful

I've known the course for a long time and played it again this summer for the first time in a while. A warm welcome and an overall thoroughly enjoyable experience. The course has its pitfalls, both in terms of strategy and terrain (hilly), as well as its length. However, no two holes are the same, and the round is a natural experience from the very first moment. The greens are fantastic; I've rarely made as many putts as here. With a cart and in the evening, the round is a great pleasure and pure relaxation. Highly recommended.
