A warm golf day in Franconia

We received a very warm welcome, and it was a truly enjoyable day of golf for us. Our overnight stay in the campervan was rewarded with a beautiful view of the course when we woke up in the morning.
We thought the Afghan restaurant was great; finally, a different cuisine.
We will definitely visit this club again.

Visited the course again after a few years. You now play as if the course belonged to you alone; very quiet in comparison. Despite ideal golfing weather, there were virtually no players in sight on the 18 holes on several different days. So if you need a free starting spot, you're sure to find one here.
The restaurant is equally isolated. (Afghan; the over-seasoned cuisine, in our opinion, isn't to everyone's taste. ... Oh well.) The course itself is located in a charming area: Franconian wine country. However, the fairways are so long and lacking in charm and no real challenge, that it's probably better to go hiking in this beautiful region (if you're looking for peace and quiet).
The clubhouse used to look much more well-maintained, especially the restrooms. Perhaps this club's best days are behind it.
