After the completion of the championship course in the spring of 2001, a beautiful Par-73 course was put into operation directly at the fringe of the Baltic Sea spa of Grömitz. Nestling in the landscape of hedgerows and hills of eastern Holstein and providing a partial view of the Baltic Sea, this course is a true challenge for advanced golfers but also provides a lot of fun for beginners.

Varied and in good condition

We played there on 08/25/2020. The reception and the briefing was very nice. The same applies to the other players you have seen on the way. We are not a single handicap (17 and 21), but the round was interesting and varied. The place was in good condition. The greens were perhaps a little slow and treacherous, but in pristine condition. All in all “thumbs up”, next time we're in the area we'll be happy to come back.

We played the course on May 24th. The driveway to the place is easy to find. However, the existing parking spaces are often assigned to the apartments around the golf course. Parking bays marked "Golf" on the ground may be parked as a green fee player. There is no indication of available parking spaces. The secretariat is friendly and helpful. For driving a chipping green, a driving range and a practice bunker is available. We did not find a putting green. There was an area in front of the driving range with hole and flag, but there was the grass 2 to 3 cm high.
The 18-hole course was very, athletic demanding. The signage of the ways to the tees was exemplary. The paths intersected, in the center there was a toilet house. Great! The greens were dull. The grass was blooming. After the round we stood in front of a Speissass and were able to clean our clubs there. It looked kind of improvised.
In the clubhouse there was no cake at 16.00 clock. "Not worth it, maybe tomorrow." was the information of the service staff. The terrace was fully occupied. When some players left the patio, the waitress appeared and complained very loudly that she did not feel like constantly putting tables and chairs right.
Our experience was certainly a snapshot. We found the place neat, the overall package of the golf day but in need of improvement.

For April the place was in an acceptable condition. The 18-hole course is not so long and well suited for a holiday round. The staff in the office was very friendly and made a competent impression.
