Today I played in Grömitz with my Baltic Sea Golf Card and I had a wonderful round. This was first and foremost due to the very friendly reception in the secretariat. That's how I would like to be welcomed.
Then twice I had the pleasure of being let through by members (!). But I know that very differently.
And the greenkeepers were still at work and quickly noticed me and had me chipped.
After all, these were undoubtedly some of the best greens I've had the pleasure of playing this summer. Well, some of the fairways were actually as hard as some reviewers complained. But how should it be otherwise in such a hot summer.
Some of the tracks were really tricky and the old trees came into play in a challenging way. Or else was a pleasant source of shade. But even without space knowledge, the ball loss was limited.

Place excellently signposted, fairways but not particularly well-kept, hard surface, greens quite ok but dull (possibly recently aerated). Here, too, there is a hard surface, the ball bounces off relatively far. The layout of the tracks is mostly not very spectacular. Some water hazards. Especially lanes 4 + 5 and 11.15 + 18, the latter with beautiful water hazards / partly island greens. 'Back Nine' a little more interesting than the first 9 lanes. Cleaning point for clubs near clubhouse / restaurant neglected / dirty water.
Conclusion: 3-4 stars. The place still has potential. We had actually promised a little more (traveled far).

We played the course on May 24th. The driveway to the place is easy to find. However, the existing parking spaces are often assigned to the apartments around the golf course. Parking bays marked "Golf" on the ground may be parked as a green fee player. There is no indication of available parking spaces. The secretariat is friendly and helpful. For driving a chipping green, a driving range and a practice bunker is available. We did not find a putting green. There was an area in front of the driving range with hole and flag, but there was the grass 2 to 3 cm high.
The 18-hole course was very, athletic demanding. The signage of the ways to the tees was exemplary. The paths intersected, in the center there was a toilet house. Great! The greens were dull. The grass was blooming. After the round we stood in front of a Speissass and were able to clean our clubs there. It looked kind of improvised.
In the clubhouse there was no cake at 16.00 clock. "Not worth it, maybe tomorrow." was the information of the service staff. The terrace was fully occupied. When some players left the patio, the waitress appeared and complained very loudly that she did not feel like constantly putting tables and chairs right.
